Åsgården is a small hotel with seven pleasant rooms.
All of the rooms have their own shower and toilet. True feeling of homeliness, personal service and home-made food. Calm and relaxing environment.
From here you can choose to cycle in either direction alongside the canal and so be able to experience not less than 19 locks within 7 km from Lyrestad. Why not combine cycling with a boat trip or with an outing by car?

Suggestions for cycling tours
Cycling alongside Göta Canal is an agreeable pleasure. You get to be close to nature and can experience the best of the canal from "front row seats". You cycle the whole time on the old tow path alongside the canal. Completely free from cars of course. You decide for yourself how far you want to cycle. Below you can find some tips for some typical one-day stretches.

- Hajstorp 7 km (11 locks)
- Töreboda 13 km (The ferry Lina)
- Wassbacken 22 km
- Tåtorp 28 km (The highest point of the canal)
Suggestions for one-day tours
Apart from cycling alongside the canal there is plenty more to be experienced. Here are some tips:
- One-day trip on the canal with one of the canal boats
- Boat trip on Vänern
- Go by car for an interesting excursion in the region
- Cycle on a draisine from Gullspång
- Play golf (three courses within 20 km)
- Cycle on Brommö (car-free island, ferry from Torsö)
